Biotin 10000 mcg
Healthwell Biotin 10000 contains as much as ten thousand micrograms (mcg) of biotin. That makes this supplement our most concentrated and effective so far. We also offer Biotin 5000, Biotin 1000, and Biotin 500. Healthwell Biotin 10 000 is a supplement for those who want to care for their skin, hair, and nails, but it also contributes to normal metabolism and function of the central nervous system. However, biotin is most commonly found in beauty supplements and, thanks to its effect on hair quality, it has been referred to as vitamin H. This high-dose biotin supplement allows you to easily get a greater amount of biotin without having to combine several different supplements.

How biotin helps your hair
Biotin is a component of several different combined supplements, such as Vitamin B Complex. It is usually added for its ability to contribute to a beautiful head of hair. Biotin’s task in the body is, among other things, to contribute to the breakdown of nutrients, such as fatty acids, carbohydrates, and amino acids, so that we can absorb the ingredients the body needs. These nutrients contain other vitamins, minerals, and lots of other things that have a positive effect on the quality of both hair and nails. When what we eat is broken down, the biotin also helps regulate and maintain normal blood sugar levels, which, in turn, makes it easier to avoid the classic dips when the sugar craving takes over.
How much biotin should I take?
As there is insufficient research to provide a daily recommended intake of biotin (DRI), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has chosen to specify the minimum intake of biotin that you need on a daily basis. This intake is 40 mcg per day to achieve the minimum amount. If you want to focus extra on your biotin intake, for example to strengthen your hair and nails, you may therefore be interested in an intake higher than 40 mcg.
Lesser amounts of biotin can be found in several different food sources. The foods that appear to contain the largest proportion of biotin include egg yolk, liver, oats, and wheat grits. In addition, a certain amount of biotin can be formed in our intestines, but so far it is unclear how much of the total intake comes from our own body.
