Siberian ginseng and ashwagandha
Healthwell Ginseng Complex contains two types of ginseng: the Siberian ginseng and the Indian ginseng, the latter of which is also known as ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is often appreciated in stressful periods when striving for increased physical and mental wellness. The ashwagandha root is also an adaptogen, meaning that it is not addictive but gives the same effect even during prolonged use.
The Siberian ginseng comes from the Taiga region of Russia, China, Korea, and Japan. The herb is grown and consumed for energising purposes, but is also used in Eastern traditions to counter stress and inflammation. The Siberian ginseng is an adaptogen as well and can thus be consumed for long periods of time without losing effect or causing addiction. Healthwell Ginseng Complex contains a large amount of ginseng of both varieties (600 milligrams of each per daily dose) and is also fortified with black pepper extract, which has been shown to improve the absorption of various nutrients.
What is vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is a vitamin that promotes normal function of the nervous system, contributes to metabolism in the cells, and is involved in the formation of new blood cells. In a varied diet, most of vitamin B12 comes from animal foods, such as eggs, meat, liver, and dairy products, but in a diet that avoids these foods, the amount of B12 may be insufficient. B12 is also found in some vegetable products, but these come in an inactive form that the body is unable to absorb. Since the nervous system, metabolism, and blood formation are all vital processes in the body, ensuring your intake of vitamin B12 is important. Taking two capsules a day of Healthwell Ginseng Complex will give you about 50% of the recommended daily intake of cobalamin.
