What is wheatgrass?

Wheatgrass is made from the wheat cotyledons. Harvested when the wheat is between 10 and 20 centimetres tall, it is then dried to become wheatgrass powder. The process is adapted to preserve as much of the nutrients as possible. Therefore, it takes a maximum of one hour from the time when the grass is harvested to when it becomes powder. Wheatgrass is harvested at the exact time when it contains the highest proportion of healthy and beneficial nutrients.
