What does NAD+ do in the body?
Healthwell NAD+ contains nicotinamide riboside, which is an active form of vitamin B3 (niacin). It is similar to regular vitamin B3 but has slightly different properties in the body. Namely, nicotinamide riboside promotes the levels of the important substance NAD+ in the cells. NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body. There, it helps to protect and repair cells and ensures that the cells' mitochondria work as they should. NAD+ is also important for the normal functioning of the body's energy production.
