One capsule gives you a full 100 mg of beta carotene, which is equivalent to 152,000 IU of provitamin A. Beta carotene is stored under the skin and converted to vitamin A when the skin needs it. Healthwell Beta Carotene 100 also contains MCT from coconut oil for optimal absorption.

Healthwell Beta Carotene 100 is of natural origin from Blakeslea trispora. One capsule contains as much as 100 mg of beta carotene, which is equivalent to 152,000 IU of provitamin A. To make it easier for the body to absorb, MCT coconut oil has been added.
Beta carotene is stored under the skin so that it is converted to vitamin A when the body needs it. It is popular to take beta-carotene before the summer to replenish the body’s stocks of it. Feel free to start taking beta carotene well in advance of the summer or a sunny holiday, as continuous use is required. The skin needs time to store beta carotene, and we recommend taking beta carotene daily for at least ten weeks up to three months before you plan to spend a lot of time in the sun.
Does beta-carotene have any side effects?
There are no known side effects of beta carotene if you comply with the recommended dosage. The body can convert beta carotene to vitamin A when needed, which prevents vitamin A from being overdosed. If you smoke, however, you should not take beta-carotene as a supplement, as the effect of its antioxidant properties may be the opposite, which entails an increased risk of side effects from smoking.
