Make Your Own Thieves Oil
Thieves Oil is an oil blend of essential oils that is said to have a cleansing and antiseptic effect, which makes it popular for colds and infections, among other things. Learn how to make your own Thieves Oil and how to use it.
Thieves Oil, also called Four Thieves Oil, is a well-known and classic blend of five different essential oils that have been used for hundreds of years, mainly for their alleged antiseptic and immune-boosting properties. As early as the 16th century, it was used when it was thought that it could protect against the plague. Even today, Thieves Oil is often used for colds and infections, but it is also perfect to use, for example, for cleaning, as a cleansing room fragrance and as a massage oil.

How to make Thieves Oil
40 drops of essential clove oil
35 drops of essential lemon oil
20 drops of essential cinnamon oil
15 drops of essential eucalyptus oil
10 drops of essential rosemary oil
Proceed as follows:
Mix all the ingredients in a glass bottle and shake well to mix the oils. Store in a dark and cool place for best durability.
NB! Remember that essential oils are very strong, so the oil must be mixed with another neutral oil such as coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil or almond oil before use on the skin. Then mix 30 ml of coconut oil with 5-6 drops of the finished thieves oil blend.
Use of Thieves Oil
For the immune system
The oil is said to have an immune-boosting effect when inhaled as steam or applied to the skin. For example, you can massage the mixed oil on your feet before going to bed at night and let it work overnight. If you feel short of breath or feel like you are getting sick, apply the oil to your chest to facilitate breathing and clear your airways.
As a room fragrance/air purifier
The oil can easily be used in a diffuser to clean and neutralize the air in the home. It also spreads a warm and lovely fragrance that is perfect on cold autumn and winter evenings.
Mix 1 drop of oil per 150 ml of water in a spray bottle, and you have a natural all-purpose cleaner that is perfect for cleaning different surfaces in the home, for example in the kitchen and bathroom. You can also add a few drops to the washing machine for clean and fresh clothes. Another tip is to spray a small amount on a cloth and wipe your mobile phone, which easily accumulates dirt and bacteria.
In skin care and massage oils
Mix a few drops of the oil with a neutral oil and use as an antibacterial skin cream, or add it to your skin care products. In a massage oil, it is perfect for helping with stiff and sore muscles.
