What is avocado oil?
Healthwell Avocado Oil ECO comes from avocados (Persea gratissima) grown under ecological conditions in Kenya. The avocado is cold-pressed at low temperatures to preserve all the nutrients and properties of the final product. This avocado oil comes in a dark bottle that contributes to durability and counteracts rancidity.
Avocado oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and has a high content of omega-9 in particular. It also contains the rare omega-7 fatty acids. Avocado oil is also rich in vitamin E. These properties, alongside its mild flavour, have made the avocado an immensely popular fruit around the world. Avocado oil is an easy and tasty way to make the most of healthy fatty acids without having to have ripe avocados at home.
Avocado oil for cooking
Avocado oil, as a vegetable oil, has many benefits. Thanks to its high temperature resistance, it is ideal as a frying oil. Many other vegetable oils are spoiled at higher frying temperatures. Avocado oil also has a mild, fresh taste that lends itself well to all types of cooking. It is therefore very suitable as a cold oil in dressings, for example for salads.
Avocado oil as skin care
Avocado oil can also be used for skin oil. It is an oily oil that quickly penetrates the skin without leaving a sticky, greasy finish. The scent is mild and natural. Avocado oil is naturally rich in vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant both in the avocado and in us. This makes it an excellent skin oil for those with dry skin and eczema, as well as for those with mature skin.
