Well-selected combination of substances and herbs
In Healthwell Joint Support you will find a carefully selected combination of different substances and herbs, all with a lot of documentation behind them. Among other things, the supplement contains collagen, a type of protein that is found naturally in all connective tissue structures and that helps build up joints, ligaments and cartilage. To optimize the amount of collagen, vitamin C is also added, as it contributes to collagen formation.
Joint Support also contains extracts of curcumin, which is the active substance in turmeric. Curcumin has been highlighted in several studies (1) and is a popular ingredient in anti-inflammatory diets. Piperine from black pepper is also added to aid the absorption of curcumin. Finally, green tea extract is added, which is rich in polyphenols and EGCG. Polyphenols often receive attention thanks to their role as antioxidants in plants, protecting them against free radicals and oxidative stress. EGCG is in turn a type of catechin, a type of flavonoid that also has antioxidant properties in plants.
Combine with Bone Support
Healthwell Joint Support can be advantageously combined with Healthwell Bone Support, a supplement with a well-selected combination of substances for the function of the bone structure. While Joint Support supports joint function, Bone Support can help maintain a normal bone structure. The products complement each other well and are taken together for best effect. Here you can buy both products in one package at a bargain price.
What is joint health?
A joint holds the bones of the skeleton together and includes different parts that together allow movement. There is also articular cartilage on the surface of bones where they come together to form joints, which provides shock absorption and a better fit. Around the joint there is then a protective joint capsule that prevents displacement. In the joint capsule, it is synovial fluid that lubricates the surfaces and reduces any friction. Integrated into the joint capsule are ligaments and tendons that give the joint extra reinforcement. Surrounding these structures are the muscles that also contribute to stability. Good joint health means that we have good mobility in the joints and can use them optimally. To achieve this, our joints need to be maintained. They need good circulation of the synovial fluid, structure of all parts and strong muscles that stabilize the joint.
Why do you get joint pain?
Joint problems can occur due to overuse or a sedentary lifestyle, but it can also be hereditary. Common joint problems are overload, inflammation, osteoarthritis and rheumatism. As we get older, our mobility is affected, as various changes occur in the bone structure and joints. The risk of wear-and-tear injuries and osteoarthritis increases, bone mass and muscle mass begin to break down and calcium absorption decreases. However, through a good diet and physical activity, we can greatly influence our joint health.
