Jojoba oil for face and hair
PURE Jojoba Oil ECO is a nourishing oil from cold-pressed jojoba tree seeds. This oil is excellent in any type of skincare product and facial cleanser and can also be used in the hair and scalp, thanks to its softening wax similar to the skin's own sebum. The wax pressed from jojoba seeds effectively binds moisture to the skin, making jojoba oil a great base oil to mix with essential oils or to use by itself. How to use jojoba oil on your skin
Jojoba Oil ECO from PURE is an excellent base oil to use as a basis for most skincare products. The monounsaturated fatty acid gadoleic acid, which is abundant in this oil, is also found in the skin's own fat layer, which means that it soothes the skin and helps with the sebum balance. In other words, the fatty oil is good for both dry skin that needs moisture and oily and acne-prone skin that needs better sebum balance. Many people with oily skin often use very dehydrating products that make the skin sensitive, but this oil provides nourishment while at the same time unclogging pores. For oily and impure skin, you can combine jojoba with tea tree, which acts purifying on such skin types. Mix the jojoba oil with other base oils, such as coconut oil, when creating your own skincare products as a body scrub.
The very softening effect of the jojoba oil makes it great in skincare products for the rest of your body as well. For example, you can use it on dry hands, elbows, and knees, or mix it with fragrant lavender oil to create a truly nourishing massage oil. 5–10% jojoba oil is the recommended amount when mixing it with other base oils into a massage oil.
Jojoba for cleansing
Since oil dissolves oil, jojoba oil can also be used as a cleanser or makeup remover. Massage the oil into damp skin to dissolve oil, dirt, and makeup and wipe with cotton pads or a moist towel. Rinse your face and dry by dabbing the skin with a dry and clean towel. The jojoba oil can also be used to dissolve oil and clogged pores in the scalp. Massage the oil into the scalp, where it effectively dissolves accumulated dirt and oil which otherwise prevent the hair from feeling clean, fresh, and healthy.
